Social Activity Fund “Idea” together with The People of Eurasia Assembly and the Ad-Hoc Committee for the accreditation of UNESCO clubs are holding a unique International Art Festival “Marble mile: the forum of Identity” in Polevskoy city, Sverdlovsk Oblast’
The organizers of the festival are wondering: how to find a common ground faster? The answer is through art, music, joint action or designing, for example, a public garden or lectures from leading experts who speak different languages, but about the same thing - a person wants to be happy, creative, involved in a different format communication.
The organizers of the festival invite sculptors to fantasize on the theme of intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity and to send drafts of garden sculptures in order to take part in the Contest on the best draft of garden sculptures which will be located in the
The Festival will have several phases:
1st phase: accepting applications and drafts of creative works of garden sculptures dedicated to the intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.
2nd phase: selecting the best creative works.
3d phase: the “Marble mile: the forum of Identity” Festival itself, which includes creative work on the making of the garden sculptures by the finalists of the Contest, open discussion platforms and lecture halls for the residents of the Sverdlovsk region. Experts will be representatives of international organizations, authorities, cultural, scientific and educational workers. The key event of the Festival will be a Day of Marble Music with invitation of musicians, representatives of indigenous people living in the Urals. Ethnic musicians will play musical compositions on national instruments. Also, they will introduce the audience to their national music. The concert will be held in the middle of the marble quarry located in Polevskoy city.
